Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a spectacle plastic lens with water-repellent layer having high water repellency, excellent antifouling property, low friction and high durability.SOLUTION: A spectacle plastic lens manufacturing method comprises forming a water-repellent layer by vapor deposition, on an optical member, of a vapor deposition material containing the following (A) and (B) components: a fluorinated alkyl-containing silicon compound represented by the general formula (I) as the (A) component; and a fluororesin as the (B) component.
