PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for simplifying processing related to updating of stored information.SOLUTION: A map information updating system includes: a recording medium for recording stored information indicating an element related to a map identified by an ID; update information acquisition means acquiring update information indicating all of elements to be updated after a reference version for converting the stored information before updating into a latest version, and an ID of the element to be updated; and stored information updating means which selects elements to be processed in the order of the ID out of the element indicated by the stored information before the updating and the element indicated by the update information, determines whether or not the element to be processed should be accepted as the stored information after the updating based on the update information, records the element to be processed that has been accepted as the stored information after the updating in the recording medium, and generates the stored information after the updating in which the elements have been recorded in the order of the ID.
