Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve image display performance in a liquid crystal display device for driving a liquid crystal layer by an in-plane switching system.SOLUTION: In a liquid crystal display device, each of pixel regions includes a thin film transistor TFT connected to a drain signal line DL, a first electrode having multiple slits and formed of a transparent conductive film, and a planar second electrode having a connection region for connecting the thin film transistor to the first electrode and formed of a transparent conductive film. The second electrode is formed between the first electrode and a first substrate, is superposed on the first electrode and a gate signal line GL, and furthermore, is connected to a second electrode of the adjacent pixel region. |
