Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acoustic attenuation composition for an acoustic attenuation having improved composite loss coefficient characteristic compared to conventional aqueous acoustic attenuation materials and especially useful for automobile uses.SOLUTION: A composition contains (a) an aqueous polymer binder containing 0.03 to 3 wt.% of phosphorus existing as a copolymerized pendant phosphorus-based acid group and having calculated Tg of -50 to 80°C, (b) a filler having a ratio to the binder thereof of 1:1 to 10:1 on dry weight basis, and (c) a thickener with enough amount to obtain a composition capable of being shear viscosity reduced and having a Brookfield viscosity of 200,000 to 10,000,000 cP not under a shearing condition, and having a volume solid content of 50 to 75%. The binder contains 2 component, a first component having a glass transition temperature of -50 to 60°C and a second component having it of -30 to 80°C, and the difference of the glass transition temperatures between 2 components is at least 20°C. |
