Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power management device and a program that suppress power usage within contract power even if using a storage battery which has an insufficient power storage capacity or using control means which cannot ensure immediacy of demand control.SOLUTION: When electricity usage measured by a power measurement section 36 becomes equal to or higher than a predetermined threshold, a discharge control section 41b of a power monitoring device 40 discharges a storage battery 1 to feed electric equipment, so that the discharge from the storage battery 1 compensates for the excess over the threshold. When a power storage level of the storage battery 1 becomes lower than a predetermined level as the storage battery 1 is discharged, the discharge control section 41b of the power monitoring device 40 computes an available discharge time to discharge the storage battery 1, and an equipment control section 41a of the power monitoring device 40 executes power suppression control on the electric equipment to lower the electricity usage below the threshold within the available discharge time.
