Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sterilization apparatus capable of making a treatment path comparatively short by enhancing sterilizing effects received by a sterilized object from irradiation means of a unit length.SOLUTION: A sterilization apparatus includes: a conveyance mechanism 3 for conveying an object to be sterilized 1 along a predetermined treatment path TR; irradiation means 8A for irradiating the object to be sterilized 1 under conveyance with sterilizing electromagnetic waves from the side; a movement operation mechanism 12 for moving the irradiation means 8A between an irradiation position and a retreat position which is laterally separated from the object to be sterilized 1 beyond the irradiation position; and a shutter 21 which can enter between the irradiation means 8A moved to the retreat position and the object to be sterilized 1. |
