Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust pipe resonance suppressing device which can suppress a columnar resonance to occur in an exhaust pipe even in the case the position of a throttle for suppressing a resonance vibration is restricted.SOLUTION: In a resonance suppressing device for an exhaust pipe 3, a hole 10 is formed in a pipe wall 9 between an intermediate of an adjoining node and loop in a sound voltage distribution of a standing wave of a columnar resonance, and a throttle 11 is formed at a position of the same hole 10. In this device, moreover, a sealed space is formed by an outer wall 12 covering the throttle 11 between the inner circumference of the outer wall 12 and the outer circumference of the pipe wall 9, and communication between the sealed space and the inside of the pipe wall 9 is established through the hole 10.
