PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a pressing element to add different pressure levels, in a carrying, fastening and fixing device used in butt-welding of a metallic sheet.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a device for executing butt-linear welding on a thin metallic sheet without filler material, including a movable welding head, a carrying base 1 and a fastening device 3 having at least two pressing elements 4 and 5 mutually independently operating, in which at least one of the pressing elements 4 and 5 is suitable for adding two or more different pressure levels. The device further includes an additional horizontal pressing element 11 for pressing the welding metallic sheet until the whole area contact of the other metallic sheet edge part is attained. The present invention also relates to a welding method of using the device.
