Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector that is able to solve the problem in that a projection image is disturbed by displacement of projection light made incident on a screen.SOLUTION: A projecting part 11 includes an LD light emitting part 111 and a scanning part 112 configured to emit light to the back face of a screen by scanning light emitted from the LD light emitting part 111. A control part 12 controls a quantity of light emitted from the LD light emitting part 111 and a scanning angle in the scanning part 112 in accordance with a video signal, thereby projecting an image corresponding to the video signal onto the screen by use of the projecting part 11. Based on the refractive index of the transmission part of a screen support member and the scanning angle in the scanning part 112, the control part 12 corrects the direction of a pixel projection light corresponding to each of pixels of an image projected from the projection part, and thereby corrects the position at which the pixel projection light is made incident on the screen.
