Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a good recording quality even in a case where the value of a temperature dependent change element varies with temperature and an optimal point of recording power is deviated at recording with respect to an optical recording medium, to thereby attain stable recording with respect to temperature.SOLUTION: A recording and reproducing apparatus including an adjustment unit for performing adjustment on a temperature dependent change element whose value varies with temperature change executes OPC (Optimum Power Control) under the setting of different values of the temperature dependent change, and acquires the value of recording power to be set at recording on the basis of the values of OPC optimal recording power respectively acquired by OPC. |
