Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device capable of preventing deformation of toner containing a resin having a phase separation structure due to a pressure load of developer thickness regulation means, in performing image formation by using a two-component developer using the toner and a magnetic carrier.SOLUTION: A developing device includes: developer storage means for storing a two-component developer containing toner and a magnetic carrier; a developer carrier that includes magnetic field generation means, and carries the two-component developer on the surface thereof to supply the toner to a photoreceptor; and developer thickness regulation means for regulating the amount of the two-component developer carried on the developer carrier. The toner contains a resin having a phase separation structure, and the developing device includes a plurality of sets of the developer thickness regulation means.
