Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deformation of a unit cell when a large amount of shock is applied to a battery module from outside in a battery module having plural unit cells.SOLUTION: In a battery module aligning and housing plural unit cells in a holder, the holder comprises a cylindrical housing section for housing the unit cells. Also, a shock absorbing section is provided between at least a housing section and at least one housing section arranged nearest the housing section. The shock absorbing section is broken in advance by shock from the outside to absorb an external force, so that deformation of the unit cells can be prevented.
