Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve productivity and safety of a secondary battery.SOLUTION: A secondary battery 100 comprises: a wound electrode group in which a positive electrode 174 having a positive electrode coated part 176a and a positive electrode uncoated part 176b, and a negative electrode 175 having a negative coated part 177a and a negative electrode uncoated part 177b are wound in a flat shape via a separator; a battery container housing the wound electrode group and injected with an electrolyte; a positive electrode terminal and a negative electrode terminal provided on the battery container; a positive electrode collector connecting the positive electrode uncoated part 176b and the positive electrode terminal; and a negative electrode collector connecting the negative electrode uncoated part 177b and the negative electrode terminal. Plural through holes TH are formed between a jointing region 12a to the positive electrode collector at the positive electrode uncoated part 176b and the positive electrode coated part 176a in a winding direction. Plural through holes TH are formed between a jointing region to the negative electrode collector at the negative uncoated part 177b and the negative coated part 177a in the winding direction.
