Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive measurement system capable of estimating a quantity of radioactive cesium from a living body of a domestic animal before slaughter and having excellent portability.SOLUTION: In a method for measuring a γ-ray radiated from the inside of a living body of a domestic animal to a body surface, an under surface of a shield member and a probe tip part are stuck close to the body surface of the domestic animal in a state where the periphery of the probe tip part of a survey meter is surrounded by the shield member, and a γ dose from the body surface is measured. A γ dose of a water phantom is similarly measured by using the shield member and an estimation value of a quantity of radioactive cesium in muscle can be calculated from a measurement value of the water phantom and a measurement value of the living body of the domestic animal.
