Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing toner for electrostatic charge image development capable of reducing exposure of a release agent to a toner surface and suppressing decrease in the flowability of toner.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing toner for electrostatic charge image development, the method comprising the steps of: preparing a mixed liquid by dissolving or dispersing a binder resin, a release agent and a magenta pigment which is a solid solution of C.I.pigment violet 19 and C.I.pigment red 122 or a solid solution of C.I.pigment violet 19 and C.I.pigment red 202 in an organic solvent; preparing a dispersion suspension by dispersing and suspending the mixed solution in an aqueous medium; removing a solvent from the dispersion suspension; and drying the resulting toner particles.
