Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic key device capable of preventing a lock from being reluctantly fastened and released by relay attack without impairing conventional responsiveness in authentication communication between a master unit and a slave unit.SOLUTION: An on-vehicle unit (master unit) 1 performs authentication communication with a portable unit (slave unit) 100, but a communication distance is prevented from being elongated and theft is prevented by making the portions of RF signals of two relays (1) 50 and (2) 70 used by of a thief in order to relay a communication signal to elongate the communication distance bi-directionally collide with each other. When authentication is unsuccessful in the case that the collision is bi-directionally made, and when authentication is successful in the case of one direction, authentication discordance is notified to a normal user and the normal user stops communication with the on-vehicle unit 1 by means of the portable unit 100 to prevent the theft. |
