Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the deterioration of a discharge property while suppressing the damage of a wiper.SOLUTION: When maintenance operation starts, a maintenance control part 72 controls a purge pump 69 so that liquid is purged from a discharge port of a head 10, and controls a wiper movement motor 63 so that a discharge surface is wiped by the wiper. When the number of counts by a maintenance number counter 73a for counting the number of times of purge operation and wipe operation reaches 10,000 or more and the number of counts by a print number counter 73b for counting the number of prints reaches 350,000, a cleaning control part 74 controls the wiper movement motor 63 so that cleaning operation in which the wiper is in slide-contact with a cleaning member is executed following the maintenance operation. When the cleaning operation is completed, the respective numbers of counts are reset. |
