Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water purification device in which at least a secondary flow path can be reliably sterilized to thereby provide safer water.SOLUTION: The water purification device 1 includes: a purifying unit 20 for producing purified water by purifying raw water; an ozone generation unit 30 for generating ozone gas containing a sterilizing component; and a controller 50 for switching between a water-passing mode for discharging the purified water produced in the purifying unit 20, and a sterilization mode for sterilizing at least the secondary flow path positioned downstream of the purifying unit 20 by ozone gas generated by the ozone generation unit 30. The control unit 50 switched to the sterilization mode by actuating the ozone generation unit 30 only when it is determined that water is not discharged in the water-passing mode. |
