Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pigment dispersion for a color filter capable of forming a cured film excellent in contrast, a color composition for a color filter containing the pigment dispersion, and a method for producing the pigment dispersion for a color filter.SOLUTION: Provided are: [1] A pigment dispersion for a color filter that contains a diketopyrrolopyrrole pigment, a pigment dispersant, and an organic solvent such as propylene glycol monomethyl ether acetate, and in which the pigment dispersant is composed of a graft polymer containing a constitutional unit having an amido group in a main chain and containing a constitutional unit derived from methacrylic acid isopropyl in a side chain and a weight ratio [the main chain/the side chain] of the main chain to the side chain in the graft polymer ranges from 30/70 to 49/51; [2] a color composition for a color filter containing the pigment dispersion; and [3] a method for producing the pigment dispersion of [1].
