Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera module which offers high positioning accuracy in a compound-eye configuration and is capable of obtaining a high quality image from images acquired by using the compound-eye configuration.SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, a camera module comprises an image sensor 12 and a sub-lens array 31 including a main lens system and a sub-lens group. The image censor 12 includes pixel cells arranged in array. The main lens system guides light from a photographing target to the image sensor 12. The sub-lens group is located in an optical path between the main lens system and the image sensor 12. The sub-lens group forms an image piece for each pixel block. Each image piece corresponds to a part of a target image. An image block comprises a plurality of pixel cells. The sub-lens group is an integral part of a spacer 33 which is a support structure. The support structure is for supporting the sub-lens group on the image sensor 12. |
