Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle seat slide device that reduces backlash of a locking member for locking relative displacement of rails, in relative displacement direction and height direction.SOLUTION: The locking member 30 includes a pair of protruding shaft parts 32 to be inserted into each of a pair of support holes 21 formed on both second sidewall parts 14 of an upper rail 4. The locking member 30 locks relative displacement of lower and upper rails 4 when rotated about the shaft part 32 in one direction, and releases the relative displacement when rotated in the other direction. The locking member 30 is biased in height direction so as to lock the relative displacement, by a torsion spring. Each of the support holes 21 has a retaining part 25 that gradually reduces an opening width in the relative displacement direction of the lower and upper rails 4 as it goes toward the direction that the torsion spring biases the locking member 30, and makes the opening width at the tip in the biasing direction smaller than the diameter of the shaft part 32. |
