Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting element that can achieve high luminous efficiency, and provide a light-emitting element that can reduce the driving voltage.SOLUTION: A host material and a hole-transport material of a light-emitting element include different materials with a carbazole skeleton. The hole-transport material is a material in which highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) and lowest occupied molecular orbital (LUMO) are both distributed in the carbazole skeleton. The host material is a material in which HOMO is distributed in a carbazole skeleton and LUMO is distributed in a skeleton other than the carbazole skeleton.
