Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device capable of satisfying both of compactness in size and fullness in volume of information and image displayed in a large screen.SOLUTION: An image display device 1 has four panels 11, 12, 13 and 14. Each of display areas 110, 120, 130 and 140 is composed of a thin display panel. Each of the panels 11, 12, 13 and 14 has the display areas 110, 120, 130 and 140 disposed so as to face in the same direction. The panel 11 and the panel 12 are coupled in a foldable manner via a hinge 21, the panel 11 and the panel 13 are coupled in a foldable manner via a hinge 22, and the panel 13 and the panel 14 are coupled in a foldable manner via a hinge 23. Sides (a side 12b and a side 14b) adjacent to the panel 12 and the panel 14 are not coupled so as to be movable separately.
