Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine having improved insulation reliability.SOLUTION: A rotary electric machine includes: a stator that has a cylindrical stator core 32 with a plurality of circumferentially-aligned slots 31, and a plurality of stator coils 41a which are enclosed in respective slot liners 1a made of a sheet-like insulating material and which are inserted in the respective slots 31; and a rotor that is arranged rotatably coaxially with the stator. Varnish 51 is filled in the slots 31. Each of the slot liners 1a has unevenness on a front surface and a back surface thereof. Thus, each of the slot liners 1a and the varnish 51 have an increased bonding surface area therebetween, and hence improved bonding strength therebetween. Therefore, peeling of the bonding surface due to vibration or the like is reduced, and insulation reliability is improved. |
