Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical knife configured to push a blade portion 6 forward along a movement path in a perforation direction into an anterior portion via a movement path in an advancing direction from sclera to cornea by making a rotational moment readily occur in a direction such that the proximal end of the blade portion 6 is pushed up and also the distal end of the blade portion 6 is pushed down when a surgeon pushes the blade portion 6 forward from the vicinity of a limbal portion toward the anterior portion via conjunctiva, sclera, and cornea along an approximately S-shaped movement path, in a transconjunctival single-plane sclerocorneal incision, to easily form an approximately S-shaped incisional wound with a good self-closing property, and to prevent the inner incision line of the incision wound from easily having an inverted chevron shape by making the blade portion 6 linearly advance along a movement path in a direction in which the blade portion 6 does not move in parallel downwardly, when the blade portion 6 advances to the anterior portion.SOLUTION: Both blade surfaces 10 of a back part 8 of the blade portion 6 are formed such that the interval between opposite sides 13 and a blade edge 11 is gradually widened as approaching the proximal end side from the distal end side, and both blade surfaces 9 of a front part 7 of the blade portion 6 are formed such that the interval between opposite sides 12 and the blade edge 11 is the same as a whole from the distal end to the proximal end of the blade edge 11.
