Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ingot melting apparatus using exhaust heat, which is constituted of a built-in automated supply unit supplying intermittently a preheated ingot, by reusing exhaust heat energy, to preheat air for auxiliary combustion, and also to preheat the ingot to be supplied.SOLUTION: The ingot melting apparatus using exhaust heat includes: a melting furnace heating mechanism A heating the melting furnace of the ingot 12; an ingot feeding mechanism B making a chain conveyor 9 provided with a preheating chamber 13 preheating the ingot 12, and the end of the chain conveyer 9, positioned above a melting furnace opening, and pushing out the ingot one by one by a piston cylinder mechanism 18 to drop the ingot from a ramp 17; and an exhaust heat exchanging mechanism C provided with a first heat exchanger 8 heating an air supply passage, and a second heat exchanger 21 communicating with the preheating chamber 13 provided in the ingot feeding mechanism B. |
