Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detergent composition for a hard surface, in which foam quality is favorable, and which excels in wiping nature and contains a quaternary ammonium salt; and to provide a cleaning method of a hard surface.SOLUTION: The detergent composition for a hard surface includes: (a) 0.01-3 mass% of an amine oxide type surfactant; (b) a quaternary ammonium salt; (c) a 2-6C alkanolamine; (d) an alkylene glycol monoalkyl ether, in which a carbon number of an alkyl group is 1-3, and a carbon number of an alkylene group is 2-4; (e) a 1-3C alkanol; (f) an alkyl (carbon number is 8-16) or alkenyl (carbon number is 8-16) glycoside type surfactant; and water, wherein a mass ratio of (f)/(a) is 0.01-0.3. In addition, using a trigger sprayer which has a foam discharge mechanism, the detergent composition is sprayed to a hard surface by a foamy shape, and an adhered foam is wiped off, thereby the hard surface is cleaned.
