Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an amount of water in order to obtain fluidity suitable for pressure-sending and filling at a filling time, in the construction of a deformation-followable water shut-off material utilizing the swelling performance of bentonite.SOLUTION: The deformation-followable water shut-off material is used for water shut-off construction, and filled into a water shut-off point which may be deformed due to the application of a load. Then, the deformation-followable material is characterized by being composed of an amalgam obtained by amalgamating powder containing bentonite and fly ash with water. It is preferable that the bentonite is Na-type bentonite. Furthermore, the powder contains the bentonite at a volume smaller than 25% of the total volume of the powder, and it is preferable that the remaining powder is the fly ash.
