Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device in which a white light source generating pseudo white light by irradiating a phosphor with excitation light, has improved color rendering property of pseudo white light, thereby preventing degradation in image quality of endoscope images concerning the color rendering property, and to provide an endoscopic diagnostic system.SOLUTION: The light source device includes: an optical fiber including a core part, a clad part covering the outer peripheral surface of the core part, and a mirror structure part covering the outer peripheral surface and one end face of the clad part; a laser beam source for emitting the excitation light for generating the pseudo white light from the phosphor by irradiating the phosphor with the excitation light; a lens for condensing the excitation light and making it incident on the core part on one end face of the optical fiber; and an LED light source for emitting LED light including the components of a wavelength that lack in the pseudo white light and making it incident on the clad part from an opening formed on the outer peripheral surface of the mirror structure part. The optical fiber guides the excitation light made incident on the core part on its one end face to the other end face by the core part, and guides the LED light made incident on the clad part to the other end face by the clad part, as illumination light. |
