Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast reception apparatus that reduces a user's labor in outputting a TV program externally in the form of an analog signal.SOLUTION: When a user selects a digital broadcast TV program, a TV receiver determines whether the TV program can be output in analog form according to a flag such as "disable_analog_sd_export" (S2), and if it cannot be output in analog form (NO in S3), displays a corresponding message (S4). The TV receiver then determines whether there is a digital simulcast allowing analog output (S5), and if there is a digital simulcast allowing analog output (YES in S6), displays a corresponding message (S7) and, if the user instructs channel switching (YES in S8), switches to the channel of the digital simulcast (S9). If there is no digital simulcast allowing analog output (NO in S6), on the other hand, it is determined whether or not there is an analog simulcast (S10).
