Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light vehicle body rear part structure which has the fewer number of components, is made lightweight, has low manufacturing cost and improved appearance quality.SOLUTION: A seat back 1 of a rear seat is provided around a first horizontal axial center so as to be freely rockable, and a parcel shelf 6 is arranged between an upper end 1J of the seat back 1 and a back door 5. A flap 11 for covering space between the upper end 1J of the seat back 1 and a front end 6M of the parcel shelf 6, is connected to the front end 6M of the parcel shelf 6 around a second horizontal axial center O so as to be freely rockable. The upper end 1J of the seat back 1 abuts on a front end 11M of the flap 11 from a vehicle front side Fr. As the seat back 1 rocks backward around the first horizontal axial center, the flap 11 rocks downward around the second horizontal axial center O while resisting pressing force from the upper end 1J of the seat back 1, and the flap 11 connects to the front end 6M of the parcel shelf 6 through a thin hinge 12.
