Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure intermittently providing an adhesive fixing material to optical fibers arranged in parallel in a longitudinal direction of the optical fibers, disposing a plurality of supplying devices with high positioning precision to eliminate the need of carrying out on/off control, and enabling stable adhesive fixing of the optical fibers at high speed.SOLUTION: A tape-shaped unit 10 comprises a plurality of optical fibers 1 arranged in parallel, and an adhesive fixing material 2 adhesively fixing the adjacent optical fibers. The adhesive fixing material 2 is diagonally provided in a band shape in regard to a parallel direction of the optical fibers, and the diagonal and band-shaped adhesive fixing material 2 is intermittently provided in a longitudinal direction of each optical fiber 1. By this structure, while the supplying device of material of the adhesive fixing material 2 is reciprocated in a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the optical fiber 1, the material of the adhesive fixing material 2 is supplied. Only by advancing the optical fiber 1 in the longitudinal direction, an adhesive fixing structure by the adhesive fixing material 2 can be obtained. |
