Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for making a driver recognize whether or not he/she knows the width of his/her own vehicle.SOLUTION: In order to determine whether a driver of a vehicle recognizes the width of his/her own vehicle, it is determined whether the driver recognizes that his/her vehicle is positioned under a predetermined situation (S30). When it is determined that the driver recognizes the vehicle is positioned under the predetermined conditions (S30: YES), based on the preset conditions, a piece of information representing driver's characteristics is acquired (S40). The acquired information on the driver's characteristics are accumulated (S50); and further based on the accumulated information on the driver's characteristics, it is determined whether the driver satisfies preset conditions to know if he/she recognizes the width of his/her own vehicle (S70, S80).
