Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-contact capacitive device for measuring filling level of a filling medium in a vessel substantially regardless of an interference of an external effect.SOLUTION: A non-contact capacitive device for measuring filling level of a filling medium in a vessel comprises a) at least two measuring electrodes (103-112) respectively arranged on horizontal planes different to each other, which form a measuring plane extending in a vertical direction, and b) at least a reference electrode (113) forming a reference plane extending in the vertical direction where the measuring electrodes (103-112) respectively include a capacitor together with the reference electrode (113) thereby generating an electric field and an extension of the reference plane in the vertical direction corresponds to an extension of the measuring plane in the vertical direction.
