Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solidification method and a solidification agent capable of solidifying contaminated water and polluted water for a short time by minimal mixing and performing disposal lawfully and safely.SOLUTION: The solidification agent comprising fatty acid alkali salt obtained by adding alkali metal to 15-20C fatty acid, an anionic or non-ionic surfactant and a water-soluble synthetic resin material is strongly stirred and mixed with contaminated water and polluted water and then solidified in the still standing state.
