Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber ribbon, an optical fiber cable and an optical fiber connection method with which the orientation of the flexural strength is reduced and the storage workability of excess length exists.SOLUTION: In an optical fiber ribbon 10, three or more optical fiber ribbons 17-20 are arranged in two stages and the whole circumference is coated, on the center axis A0 connecting the centers of the optical fiber ribbons 17 and 20 which exist respectively at the either end, the optical fiber ribbons 17-20 are arranged such that the other optical fiber ribbons 18 and 19 have no core. Voids 21 are formed in the positions surrounded by the optical fiber ribbons 17, 18 and 19 and 18, 19 and 20.
