Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parallel A/D converter capable of accelerating the speed of operation and relaxing the restriction of post-stage voltage design. SOLUTION: A representative structure of the parallel A/D converter includes: a plurality of comparators arranged in parallel in accordance with the number of stages of quantization level; a plurality of signal line pairs inputted to the respective plurality of comparators by branching differential input signals; a plurality of track-hold circuits arranged at a plurality of comparators, respectively; and a voltage adder for adding a voltage whose difference of potential is varied stepwise from one comparator to the other comparator to the plurality of signal line pairs.
