Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a sprocket segment capable of manufacturing the sprocket segment with a desired shape at a low cost without installing large-sized equipment, equipment with high pressurizing ability or the like. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the sprocket includes: a forging step for forming an underfill part 15 underfilled to a shape of a final product at a part of a specified tooth part 30 and carrying out tilt-forging while the tooth surface 12a of the sprocket segment 10 is tilted in a pressurizing direction; a deburring step for removing unnecessary burrs 14 protruded from a die at the forging step; and a deformation step for deforming the shape of the specified tooth part 30 including the underfill part 15 into the desired shape by moving a deformation member in the tooth trace direction of the tooth part 30 in a state of abutting it on the tooth surface 12a of the specified tooth part 30.
