Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processor, a data processing method, and a program capable of performing processing for overwriting the oldest data to store new data even if a time is not correctly set. SOLUTION: The data processor includes a time state holding part 103 for holding a time setting state, a time state detection part 102 for detecting whether time has been set in the time state holding part, a time setting part 104 for setting time based on the detection information of the time state detection part 102 and data stored in an external memory 107, a time updating part 105 for updating the time set by the time setting part 104, and a data recording part 108 for recording record data including time information updated by the time updating part 105 in the external memory 107 when a request for writing the record data is made.
