Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power tool capable of preventing a loss in FET (Field-Effect Transistor) arranged inside. SOLUTION: This power tool 1 is provided by installing a battery pack 6 having a secondary battery 610 in a power tool body, and includes a motor 2 operating by electric power supplied via an electric current passage from the secondary battery 610, the FET 410 arranged in the electric current passage for turning on and off the electric current passage, a gate voltage detecting means 63 for detecting gate voltage of the FET 410, and a stopping means 63 for turning off the FET when the gate voltage becomes first predetermined voltage or less.
