Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change a bit allocation of a U signal and a V signal by performing color gamut determination of a video signal, when converting RGB into YC and further converting YC into RGB. SOLUTION: A video processing apparatus includes: a first color gamut determination part 11 for performing color gamut determination of input RGB signals; an RGB/YC conversion part 12 for allocating numbers of bits of the U signal and V signal based on a color gamut determination result of the first color gamut determination part 11, and converting the input RGB signals into YC signals; and a YC/RGB conversion part 13 for converting the YC signals into output RGB signals based on a color gamut determination result.
