PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simply-structured tool for the attachment and detachment of a nut when attaching and detaching a large-size bolt and a nut which are applied to a flange of a cabin of a steam turbine etc. in a small working space. SOLUTION: The tool is for the bolt and the nut which join a cabin divided into two blocks via flanges and comprises a pedestal which can place the nut on the top surface and is provided with a bearing with a spherical surface on the under surface thereof, a tool body which is provided with a travel device on the under surface so as to be able to move on a base plate placed on a working floor and a lift in the center which accommodates a compression fluid to move the pedestal vertically and supports the pedestal via the bearing, and a pressure control device capable of controlling the pressure of the compression fluid.
