Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fine particle sensing device capable of sensing fine particles such as smoke floating in the air by a simple constitution. SOLUTION: When a concentration of fine particles floating in a sensing object space AR is heightened, a light signal including a digital signal such as a PN code is scattered by the fine particles, and transmission of the light signal from a light emitting diode D1 to a photodiode D2 is impeded. Since transmission of the signal is impeded, an error rate (the number of error bits) of the digital signal reproduced from the light signal received through the sensing object space AR is increased. The fine particles in the sensing object space AR are sensed from a change of the error rate. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
