SOLUTION: The method for digesting fat includes: the stirring steps S2 and S3 in which a mixed solution containing fat tissue and digestive enzymes in a container is stirred; the separation time measuring step S4 in which the time taken from the termination of stirring in the stirring steps S2 and S3 to the separation of fat and liquid layers from the mixed solution is measured; and the digestion termination deciding step S5 in which the termination of digestion is decided when the time measured in the separation time measuring step S4 exceeds the designated time.
