Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synthetic resin composite capable of altering the surface profile and pattern of a fishing rod, and of enhancing the hardness and adhesive force of the fishing rod. SOLUTION: The composite is such that: an inner side decorative layer 3A including a first material and an outer side decorative layer 3B including a second material presenting properties different from those of the first material on the inner side decorative layer 3A are formed on the outer circumferential surface of a rod material formed 2 of a prepreg with reinforcing fibers impregnated with a matrix resin; and the inner side decorative layer 3A and the outer side decorative layer 3B are subjected to an energy-enhancing means to mix the first material and the second material to form a new transformed decorative layer.
