Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical compensation film containing one or more compounds each having two or more rings. SOLUTION: The optical compensation film which is used for liquid crystal displays and uses cellulose acylate as a base material contains one or more compounds each having two or more rings, where a most one of two or more rings is an aromatic ring, and the ratio of the compounds each having two or more rings is 0.5-10 mass% of the total mass of the optical compensation film.
