Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorizer which is free from any adverse effect of moisture etc. included in an exhaust and based on an inorganic adsorbent with high deodorizing performance. SOLUTION: This deodorizer includes a rice hull silica-derived silica matrix (2) obtained by mixing and calcining a hydrophobic zeolite (1), a rice hull silica and a binder, and the hydrophobic zeolite (1) which adheres to and is dispersed in the silica matrix (2).
