PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque transmitting device suppressing noise called as a squeal during braking of an electromagnetic brake, and securing strength of the device. SOLUTION: A disk 3 and an armature 2, and the disk 3 and a side plate 4 are opposed to each other to relatively move near to and away from each other, and when they move near to each other, a portion between the disk 3 and the armature 2, and a portion between the disk 3 and the side plate 4 are pressure-contacted through friction materials 13a and 13b to transmit torque. In this situation, the disk 3 is arranged so that a plurality of face plates 30 and 31 have constant mutual position relationship coaxially, and a cork 7 for damping vibration of the face plates 30 and 31 is provided between the face plates 30 and 31.
