Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic detection device capable of highly-reliable determination even if a supply voltage from a battery is lowered with elapse of time. SOLUTION: This electronic detection device includes a button battery 11 for supplying power, a solid phase part 34 showing a positive/negative property of sample liquid by coloration based on an immunochromatography method, a test piece having a reference area 35 arranged separately from the solid phase part 34, photodiodes 43, 44 for detecting brightness of the solid phase part 34 and the reference area 35, and a circuit for determining the positive/negative property of the sample liquid based on measured values by the photodiodes 43, 44. The circuit has a reference value storage part 52 for storing a reference value used as a reference for determination, and an updating part 50 for updating the reference value stored in the reference value storage part 52 in company with elapse of time.
