Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal recording body which is excellent in color developing sensitivity, water resistance and shelf stability (resistance to background color developing properties) and is friendly to environment. SOLUTION: In the thermal recording body provided with a thermal recording layer comprising a colorless or light-colored electron-donating leuco dye and an electron-accepting developer as main components on a substrate, there is provided the thermal recording body in which the thermal recording layer includes (a) a carboxyl group-containing resin, (b) a polyamide epichlorohydrin resin or a polyamine epichlorohydrin resin, and (c) a polyamine/amide resin, and furthermore, includes a diphenyl sulfone compound with a specified structure.
